Tour de Romandie 2012

Page 54 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
Well, again we have another stage race where the classement throughout,
has been determined by time bonuses and an initial, short prologue.
Tomorrow, the whole bunch will get re-shuffled, not mano a mano, but mano a solo.
Pee poor parcours, UK Postal, whatever.
A dire edition of a now regularly drab event.

There is near the start, two corners and two hairpins.

I think they might lean towards the road bike, even at the top it's never really flat, and the longest bit of "straight" road is about 1km.

We may see Wiggo's Col d'Eze special.

Wiggins will win the overall, but I'm thinking Mollema ahead of Rogers for 2nd. The steeper climbs don't suit Rogers, and Mollema is more than serviceable on the flat.

Wiggins may win the stage like Paris-Nice too. Like WS and Parrulo, I don't see him losing enough that he can't take it back and then some on the flat (and that's if he loses anything at all on the climbing part, which is far from certain).

Mollema says he doesn't feel great anymore. And I reckon Rogers is just coming into form, so normally he should beat Bauke.

Its on his own website.

Winst!

Groet,
Bauke

Im sure he can squeeze out one more super TT before going into relax mode.

TGBM is quite into talking down his chances. :p
No he's not, actually before the TT in Pais Vasco he said: this really suits me, especially if it rains. He can normally make a pretty fair assessment of his chances.

He has reconned the course already and says it's up and down all the way to the finish, pretty much what we knew already.

If Kreuziger beats Wiggins in the TT (let alone on GC) I will take an avatar of your choice for a month. If the opposite is true, you take a Wiggo avatar for a month. Interested?

I'm a fan of RK but he won't be competing for more than a top 5 here tomorrow.
Interested. But you mean cyclist avatar, don't you? Otherwise I'm not interested :)
