I wouldn't mind making making the ITT longer if we can ditch the prologue. Or do the super short meme prologue as a stage 1a and get your Romandie meme sprint with a meme sprint field off with stage 1b.

I tend to dislike that there's usually only one road stage that really matters for GC.

SOQ director said they aren't going to put any effort in trying to win this stage. Their riders already put in a big effort yesterday, and want to save a bit for tomorrow.

I think that they might change their mind if they are over Molledruz and Brennan isn't there anymore.

Why would he be dropped on such an easy climb?

Yes, but that was on Pradell which was already removed from the route the day before and on Queralt (earlier in the day) which made them unable to set up the finish there. But I don't think they had to cancel the rest, and (an intransigent minority of) the riders destroyed what was a perfectly fine back-up route.
But the original stage (which was the 'good' aspect in question) wasn't eliminated for no reason, it was a very genuine extreme weather scenario.

First of all there is two ITTs in 6 stages. The 3 km prologue is just boring. Second; I want the difficult parts to be a bit more than a massive MTF to Thyon. The decsive mountain stage should be a bit easier and then rather add a tough medium mountain stage where it was possible to gain more than than it was yesterday.

HEY!

It's MY JOB to notice that there are two time trials at Romandie
and then be told they do that EVERY year.

How much time can Remco put on Almeida in ITT?
In Algarve, Almeida was stronger than Vingegaard in mountain but lost in ITT.

In Itzulia, Almeida was stronger than Schachman, but they were equal in the ITT.

Taking his teammate's reference, Remco is much better than Schachman in ITT.
