Can somebody make a thread named: '' Excuses of Mr. Evenepoel'' where we can keep a collection for all the Remco excuses?
Exactly. "He was working for his teammate", "he stopped because he wanted other riders to get TV time", "he lost because of his rain jacket", "his teammates were bad" and all I hear is how honest he is. He is just full of bulls#it and doesn't take responsability for being bad/mediocre.

Most of his fans said that he won't be a factor with the MTF. Nobody is making excuses, his result is within the expected before the race.

Working for Lecerf was an excuse for being bad.
2 things can be right at the same time. You can be bad and still help your teammate. No one is saying that Remco would’ve won Romandie if he didn’t help Lecerf. Remco knew he wouldn’t win Romandie thus helped Lecerf.

Why is this so hard to understand for people disliking him? Not to mention you are blatantly lying about what Evenepoel said about the race yesterday.

I don't think people are actually seeing it as an excuse, it was a decision he made because he was bad. Everyone sees it for what it is. Probably a better use of his bad form than just riding for himself, if only to improve teammate relationships.
This forum demands that that it must be one or the other. Not much room for it was a bit of both.

That was my basic take on it. I'm obviously not that good right now, I might as well help a teammate out who in turn will repay the effort.

Perhaps I missed something Remco said, but he seems to have been pretty straight up with not having the legs or form

What would be the downside if they move Romandie forward a week? I don't think it's about not getting Ardennes top dogs or Tour A listers, they don't get them much anyway, nor I think it's about competition with Trentino, or afraid to look like a Giro prep race.
It's a genuine question, I like its quirky little style, but I still don't see what's so great about its position in the calendar, how does it appeal to top riders and their forms etc..
