Levi is putting points on the board for team leadership in the TDF. Tony Martin must be a little worried he missed something here. That said, it's still early and Argentina, but impressionable.

Leipheimer, making his debut for Omega Pharma-Quick Step at the Tour de San Luis, was quick to pay homage to his team. "It's a new team starting off a new year. I've been really happy since I've come here. I just wanted to show the team, to show [team manager] Patrick [Lefevre], to show the sponsors that I'm very grateful for them allowing me to be part of it.

Sounds to me like Levi got himself fit early to make an impression on his new team. Good motivation, very nice performance!

You must have meant Cunego's epic debacle, right?

Which race was it that Bottle won after a TT and this forum literally exploded in disgust?

Yeah I asked because I wasn't 100% certain it was the TDS.

It all seems rather tame looking back but I guess "live" it was a different matter :D

Way to go Levi. Big fan here. Yes the wheelsucking sucks but if you don't like it, ride away.

Very popular up here in Norcal. And we're not a bunch of American sheep who drink the Phil and Paul cool-aid.

Levi is invicible in Americas.
You mean "invisible" that nobody can't see him?

Maybe you are right because he is usually in a vey low position behind other riders.

Good job for the Colombian Serpa. :)

I thought Nibali has always been a good TT and some people are surprised.

So many riders would love to have the poor form that Contador has right now for his peak form.

Levi has always been a good TT so no surprise there anyway. chapeau to Levi.

When we last debated this topic Contador had fail tts like this in his palmares

I love how everyone says Menchovs' ITT owned but he still finished a longggggg way down. Of course he would have won the TDF if there was another long ITT ( if Contador and Andy kept on fooling around in the mountains and Samu crashed ) but still... Compare that to Evans who this year finished 7 seconds off Martin ( after going easy ).

Contador`s time trialing will peak later on in the season. Thats what it is all about for him - peaking in July.

That said, I'm sure all of them are on approximately the same level of disassembly considering January and it was very interesting for them to check out each other on 100% of current preparedness..

Airstream is obviously being facetious ( a generous way of saying that he is trolling).
No, mate. I just was very surprised how categorical you was on such a debatable question. :)

He was very strong at it even before it came to light he's a great climber.

No, mate. I just was very surprised how categorical you was on such a debatable question. :)In my mind you're being VERY facetious, posting the result of Annecy TT as though nobody knows this.

This is what Alberto had to say about the TT:
"It was a hard time trial, for specialists. Cadence I've got, but I lack training and hours on the time trial bike. Anyway, I'm happy. Yesterday's result was unexpected, today's was more normal,"

To give you an idea about the Pope's epic ride: he was a full 2 minutes faster than the closest GC contender who rode in the same conditions, and that was Contador.

This race doesn't matter anyway, all bike racing in the US and US bike racers are bogus.

You do realize that San Luis isn't in the US??? Based on your post it's quite possible you may not know what country you're currently in.
