so even airstream must realise that a 6th place is not going to change the equation. If I argue that Contador is better after he comes 35th in the Tour tt Ill probably argue that he is better when he comes 6th. in a January tt.

Also had he been reading my posts he would have noticed that I predicted that Contador wouldnt do well in this tt.

Contador could not put any time into leipheimer on the hill. hes noy on the form on which he excells at tts. look at algarve last year. 3rd on the hill, nowhere in the tt.

I'm going with what he said to the media. His win on stage 3 was a surprise and he didn't plan on doing well here considering the amount of training that he's put in prior to the event. The win was an unexpected bonus.

I've heard he's notorious for his work habits. Stays at a high level year round.
Still his lap dog like affection for Armstrong during the "The Return" was nauseating to the extreme so I can't root for the dude. Good performance nonetheless.

So that's why Armstrong was having so many issues with his bike handling. Proper bike fit is very important.
