Nibali beating (actually crushing) Contador in a TT - didn't see that coming, particularly since Nibs didn't seem to be in very good shape yesterday. If Nibali continues TTing like that (I know, it's January) then he will definitely be a candidate for the podium at TDF.

Contador could not put any time into leipheimer on the hill. hes noy on the form on which he excells at tts. look at algarve last year. 3rd on the hill nowhere in the tt.

Levi meamwhile is stronger at tts than he is at climbing. What conti says about him being favourite makes sence and i hope levi pulls it off.

Called it:D

I switched to radio as the tv guys weren't giving time updates. You didn't miss much.
Well, the bike motorcade opening the road to Contador was something to behold

At least he can go to the podium, but maybe he attack from 90 km.

Levi has win today

It is "only January" for Levi too.
Great ride.

Levi beat Alberto in the Final ITT TdF 2007 too.
That was in July btw.

If it wasn't for the superfast sprint up the Plateau of Bees by Chicken and Alberto, Levi would have won that Tour. Or maybe Cadel.

And in both TTs of the 2008 Vuelta too.

Levi also lost 10s for holding onto a car that Tour. Small margins...

Whatever you say, I'm still sad. :(

TBH I would be concerned if Contador was in good shape at this stage of the season, I don't think you have to much to worry about just yet (CAS appeal pending).

Exactly. Andy Schleck was getting dropped like bad habit at the ToC a couple months before the Tour last year. Contador is in training shape in January and wins a MTF but has an average TT.

The Tour is SIX MONTHS AWAY. Contador should not be fit now.

Dry your eyes girl, nothing to be concerned about here. You won't want to but go back a few pages or so and look at the pictures of AC with the podium girls. He DOES have some weight to lose. I would say he is in a great position just now fitness wise and this race IS for training. Chill, many many great things to come this year for your boy (CAS pending obviously):)
