Sagan was just hopping wheels. Colbrelli came across at the end... Not dirty from anyone - wtf

Surprised Colbrelli could outdrag Gaviria seeing as he started his sprint before anyone else
Colbrelli is the kind of guy that has a really long sprint and seems to get stronger with bad weather and a hard race.
Good showing and he did nothing wrong in that sprint, he has a killer instinct and tries to maximise his chances of winning, not like Nizzolo, who should have closed the door in the 2016 WC RR.

Sometimes i really question Sagan's tactics, attacking on the climb knowing it would come down to a sprint anyway and then taking a wrong sprinting line. Maybe winning makes him too confident and that clouds his mind.

Sagan has burnt redundantly too much energy in the last hill. He probably thought that somebody would joint him in the attack. He should have been already cured of that naivety.
He mistimed it like mad too. If he goes on the last stretch he has a way bigger chance of going somewhere.

Colbrelli is a sprinter-puncheur, it was a hard stage so I'm suprised Gaviria could even contest a sprint here. I'm afraid he is peaking too soon, he already looks on top form.

Sagan dangerous again
Nah, the two others closed in on him from each side. Bit of a dirty trick from Colbrelli especially, but nothing that should be punished.

While not in the class of dirty tricks vis-a-vis keirin, Sonny was well within his rights I think. I usually hate sprint finishes, but that was proper.

Only two people can make such a stupid comment.
I thought it was dangerous when you are leaning on another guy going over the finish line like that. I would be uncomfortable, but as I said, pros do stuff thats very different than us normal riders. Especially in such conditions. But that may explain why Im not a bunch sprinter ;)

And I assume you are referring to DFA as the other one, good for you....

Tomorrow there's a bit of a longer hill (7.2 km @ 4.6 %) with the summit around 8 km from the finish. Will there be more selection or again a reduced bunch sprint of 60-ish riders?

Reduced bunch, bet wisely.

Put me down for €500 on Sep Vanmarcke.

Obviously this would be less funny if he would actually win.

Gotta admit I was a bit shocked at his top ten today.
