Opens thread.

Sees talk about Betancur.

*sigh*

Closes.
What about your endless annoying, not funny references to the Japan Cup in the Betancur thread? :)

That was ages ago. It was appropriate.

He's the same hopeless case, so it still fits.

My brain stops everytime there's still talk about him contending for something. It's pure delirium.
The Hammer Series showed us he's not a hopeless case. It is legitimate to talk about Betancur in this topic, since he's one of the favorites in this field. Like it or not, but many different sources have him in the top 5 or 10 contenders for this race. But hey, BigMac doesn't allow us to talk about Betancur, one of the most gifted riders in the peloton.

no way ....esp if the view of many riders is to believed

I used to like this race but the recent editions have been pretty dull and most of the best riders for the Tour always seem to prefer the Dauphine these days.

So who will win this one? I'll go with Pantano.
Pantano getting a nice GC result or a stage win would be nice

What happened to him? He looked so promising in TDF 2016

He is doing great this season. Clearly gained a level after last years tdf. Except it's a lot domestique work so far.

So, in an hour time there'll be live images.
Less Tour oriented field.gives the race its own prestige.

John Degenkolb looks as plump as I've ever seen him! Wow!

He's stealing Contador's food to help him be lean for the Tour. Part of his contract bonus structure.

Or he's following the Betancur training model.
