This has been one bad race for the hypetrains, all three of Del Toro, Martinez and Uijtdebroeks will be disappointed with the way their GC has gone.

I think it was worth a shot and the right way to approach it, and then you check the result of it and go from there. Rivera is now better saved for the last climb in this situation.

I mean, if they plan to make the day hard, then pacing the descent just means people do upper zone 1 instead of lower zone 1 while your team is killing itself at the front. I don‘t think this makes people magically recover.
