So who do we pick for the MTT and final GC victory? I didn't know much about Vauquelin until this race. I see he has a good record in TTs. He has a 33 second lead on Almeida, seems like he hang on to win GC?

I would say Almeida for both.
The climb is hard (actually untill the time-check they are using the same last climb of today) and I will be very surprised if Vauquelin is within 30 seconds of Almeida.

So starting with #112 (Zimmerman) there are two-minute starting gaps between riders, all prior to that are 1-minute.

There seems to be a strange time warp between Vergaerde and Samitier at PCS, will the riders be going on a coffee break or something?

They probably need to get the Team Cars back down the mountain after the first half since there‘s only one way up, that‘s why there‘s a break.

Almeida the stage and GC by 10 seconds minimum. I think he’s more tired compared to previously due to having to attack more.

It's going to be very close, Vaquelin has beaten Almeida in TTs before, but on flatter terrain. In last years TdS finale, Almeida put 2 minutes in Vaquelin. Ofc not sure of Vaquelin was going all out...

KV is impressive, but it would break an impressive streak for France if he wins the GC tomorrow.

Vauquelin is a fine rider, and the jersey might give him something extra. So against almost everybody I'd say he has a very good chance. But this is Almeida. Who rides EVERY climb as a MTT. I'm pretty sure he'll win this.

Why does PCS say only 9 riders on the road or is this one of those MTTs with multiple waves of riders?
I didn't catch it earlier, but besides the 75-min break I did catch there are also a couple of 15-min breaks and several times there are starting gaps anywhere between 3-5mins between riders. So, I actually missed a lot when first glancing at the startorder.
