Well, without the stage 1 "fuckup" he could have wheelied the last kilometer and still won the GC.

Pogacar doesn't need him in the mountains in the tour, Almeida must attack Evenepoel and Roglic on the early stages to get a buffer, worst that happens is people get irritated with him, start whining on social media and he gets sent to the Giro next year. Come on Joao what would Ayuso do.

Of course Remco evenepoel is a better climber than Almeida.

He already won a Vuelta, already did podium in the Tour, and Almeida best perfomances in the mountains don't match evenepoel best perfomances in the mountains.

I am quite positive though. He seemed to have been riding into shape the longer this TdS was going. Looks better than last year's Tour prep.
