Why is it, that fans of any specific rider are unable to give an objective opinion?

Those trying to shift the blame onto Haussler, were clearly looking for any indication that Haussler, at some point, did something wrong.
The sequence of events that led to the crash cannot be apportioned just to those final few stills.

I have repeatedly watched it frame by frame on large screen tv.

The sequence of events wasn't started by Cav, but by Ciolek.
He was the first to violently swing out of the line, to the right.
Cav had to follow, so as to go around Ciolek's right.
Near victim Marcato.
Responsible Ciolek.

After that, Cav took up a straight, but diagonal, left hand line, that squeezed out Ciolek but led him across Haussler's front wheel.
Haussler was sprinting in a straight line, but was slightly right of centre.
As they touched, Haussler instinctively turned his wheel to his right, to compensate and ran over Cav's front rim, which was almost at the perpendicular. It collapsed.

The race jury called it.

Some good news it seems Coyot's injuries are not as serious as first thought

"Coyot was not directly involved in the crash but was squeezed against the barriers and flipped over the handlebars at speed. Initial reports said he had a suspected fractured hip. He was taken away on a stretcher wearing a neck brace but was later diagnosed with a fractured radius and scaphoid in his left wrist."

Haussler said "**** Cavendish. Two times he made a big error. First he rode into me with his head, then his elbow. Unfair, he went full force against me. Before I knew it, I was on the ground, just when I could win the stage today" was his first reaction

There's a good article on this on the daily telegraph website - although I'm unsure how to put links on here as I'm on my iPhone

I feel Like blaming Cavendish because I don't like the guy and like Ciolek:D. Seriously, I thought Cav swerved in front of ciolek as Cav was on the right of the road and ciolek was in the middle. I have only seen it twice so I could be wrong. Looking at the vison it was definetly Cav's fault and ciolek was a victim.

btw listen to sherwnes commentary of the sprint, i nearly weed myself! He was screaming so hard! :D

The race jury called it.

Why? Impartiality is much underrated, and they call it "puppy love."

It appears the race jury got it right. The riders staged a two minute delay at the start of stage 5 to protest Cavendish's aggression.

But, less than objective observers may believe Cavendish was "fooked" by the peloton.
