looked like James Shaw (previously of Lotto) crashed into a hedge just before the climb but was back in the lead group by the top

Ineos & CCC made to look like chumps by Riwal - chapeau Kamp and all the Riwal team! :)
The Vikings from Scandinavia came to Yorkshire again and showed how to do it.

For those not up to speed on danish pro-conti cycling ;) - Kamp is actually going for the overall in Yorkshire, so expect more - looks like him and Lawless battling for the overall tomorrow, with GvA and Swift in the mix too.

Btw, Riwal is buildings towards being the top pro-conti team in 2021, so they are ensured selection for the TdF start in Denmark.

Fantastic to see the Conti team have numbers (4) when the race split in the crosswinds, and then to have the confidence to ride at the front of the peleton.

The Danes came and settled down quite nicely with the English in that part of the world (the Swedes not so much). Anyway, I guess A Kamp to Ineos then :)

While I am certain Kamp will be on a WT team next year, I don't see Ineos as a contender.

With his age, he is not looking to ride as a domestique, so would probably be more realistic to see him on one of the smaller WT teams, as a lieutenant.

DD or Katusha - especially DD, who will soon have to replace more or less the entire classics squad, as most are too old and way past their prime.

Nobody could rival the readyness of Kamp today. Hopefully his performances in Yorkshire (yes, plural, because the guy is gonna win the gc tomorrow) will get him much closer to that elusive WT contract.

Off to the start at the wonderful Piece Hall. Dear Mr Prudhomme ... please make us a hilly cobbled classic that starts and finishes in this incredible piazza. Thank you.

Just catching up with the men's race from yesterday, good stage, that massive wave that crashed into the sea wall was might close to the riders

With good weather a stage like yesterday's one is not selective at all, only a couple of riders were dropped on the final climb, this route is a big step down compared to previous years, probably the MTF like last year's stage 2 is not a great idea because forces the waiting game but a stage like Fox Valley's one two years ago or 2016 Scarborough's one is needed, also Leeds stage was harder last year.
