have you considered that it is the same standard thats being applied, but the different cases are just simply different across several parameters and not only the most focal one
No, because it isn't.

They literally stated that it's different for the Giro doing it because of snow buildup than the TDU because of extreme heat. There are double standards applied when comparing European races and non European races.

I love watching European cycling. Hard not to if you're a cycling fan. But so many of the posters based in Europe whinge about Australian cycling for any reason at all.

The wombat again. :D
Wombat it is then.

Nightmare race

Another UAE rider down hard

Also NSN rider hurt
Crashes every other minute now, literally. Its like they've forgotten how to ride in a peloton, extremely nervous. Is it just the wind making things this nervous alone?

Edit: That UAE rider was Laengen.

I think it might be a bit of both, and maybe the heat is affecting their judgment?

Probably both yeah. The crosswind has died down and its more of a headwind atm, and the peloton has settled alot and just cruising now.

But when the broadcast came on, it was extremely nervous and new riders crashing before camera could leave the scene of the first crashes, chaso like it was the first stage of the TDF or something.

Yeah, unless it's a bunch sprint where things are just chaotic something like this usually happens when the peloton is nervous, or somebody just momentarily loses their focus and down they go.

Screen just said it's 40C, thank goodness this race will be over soon. 20km to go

Nice coastal area btw., and the wind would make it fun to fly a kite. (Not in that heat though, no siree.)

Brennan went from brilliant last year, to "what the **** are you doing?" quickly. He didn't seem to have a kick today. but he was WAAAAYYYY to far back from 2 K out, and never really tried to go forward from there.
