amstel gold race is up down all stage long, by the time one gets to the finished it might not even matter if he can sprint uphill cause his legs are gone.

you know, agr is for one day specialists ;) just like fw, lbl etc. No relevance at all.

No one said Matthews was an ardennes specialist. Uphill sprinter, big difference kiddo.

lol read again he wasnt defending rabo, we all know rabo is flawed and a pile of fail.

Just attacking your logic, if one might call it that.
You know agr =/= uphill sprinter criteria.

by your logic who ever wins on saturday might aswell be labelled the best climber in the peloton. can't wait

AGR is an uphill sprint. I saw someone calling him one of the best uphill sprinters, so I reacted without reading through all the pages before that post. He's still not one of the best in the moderate uphill sprints unless he proves it in a GT though, so I stand by my post just ignore the AGR/FW part.

And The youngest always reacts with something similiar when I say something bad about Rabo, it's annoying :p

Belated observations of mine.
A great finish for me as Aussies went well, Gerro gained some GC and Clarke went well. Also the atmosphere was great. We only got there in time to see the last lap and a half though which was a pity ( because we were at Handhorf and they took forever getting our food ready ). Whilst in Handhorf as well i got the 1 Metre long German Sausge and ended up finishing it 2hrs later. I still got the shirt even though i did not drink the 1 litre beer ( too young ).

Congrats to Clarke, Matthews and Gerrans.
Good work by Kohler as well but Greipel will take the ochre.

They already signed the better Clarke. Will Clarke hasn't shown anything near what Simon Clarke has shown.

Maybe he had not previously but he has now. I wonder if GE or another team will try sign him later next year.
It would be better if they put William in over Bewly to replace McEwan. GE already have enough riders for a leadout they need some variation.

He got lots of freedom on the front (12mins with what 50km left?), although a great ride nothing spectacular or others in the peloton couldn't do.
