Joking aside, JTL jumped across from peloton to chase group with 2 laps to go, then worked through the group and gapped them in the last climb to get third.

Can anyone give an authoratative rules judgement on whether he's allowed to move?

It would be a horrible waste for someone his age to be stuck on a lower ranked team all year without access to races he would easily be picked for on another team.

That's the trouble when fanboys spend all their time looking for their exulted one, instead of watching the actual race.
What the rest of us got, (that which we were able to view) was a very unpredictable, animated race.

Mate, this race was horrible, hardly any camera's. Most of the time we were staring at the commentators or the finish line. Animated race my ***.
