Martin had little to fight for then, though, and was likely trying to preserve energy for the ITT once the chance of the stage win was gone. Given that he peaked for the Worlds he's not likely to lose this. The climbing isn't as tough as the Bilbao stage of the Vuelta, and Froome's miracle form can't last forever (and he's the only one of the top 10 I can see putting Martin in any kind of pressure on these climbs).

Stop complaining and start the campaign for post cut off results (i.e. this and the Vuelta) to be included in the following year's UCI rankings for world championship purposes.

Exactly. Agree entirely. Bit like the rolling uci ranking used to be.

Would certainly bring more value to points earned in the autumn.

To defend the Tour of Beijing, its not so long ago that the Tour Down Under and Tour of California were new races, and look at them now.

What's the difference between the Tour of Beijing & the Tour of Britain other than the time bonuses?

1) lack of smog
2) crowds
3) not a world tour event despite being in existence for several years
4) teams that choose to go send strong squads
5) every single stage isnt flat
6) every stage doesnt end in a sprint
7) there are time bonus's so the winner of the time trial doesnt win overall
8) the time trial is not on the first day
9) The UCI dont own the tour of britain
10) the UCI didnt force everyone to attend the tour of britain
11) the british do not have the death penalty and therefore did not murder over 2000 people last year (although admittedly we did continue our illegal war in iraq and afghanistan)

but its an irrelevant argument. I also dont think the Tour of Britain should be world tour and score as many points as Paris Roubaix

Haussler wins simply because he was placed best. Galimzyanov was in his wheel and ends up 2nd losing by 1cm. Bos third, but he came from waaaay too far back. Rabobank tried to set up a nice train for him, but came way too early and they all faded way too early.

Lars Boom got a 20 second penalty for the car drafting yesterday .... good thing too. It was pretty blatant

Yeh it was very blatant. Dekker took the full blame as he was being an idiot. The speaker was blown of the hood by the wind and the front window was broken(?), but he knows Boom likes to hear constant shouting so he decided to ride next to him.... lol.
