The gap is small enough that we ought to see at least a small re-grouping before the finish. The front group is clearly running out of gas.

The big guns are there, as far as I know.

The Westra-group was soft pedalling, so I guess it's end of story for them.

While, in the end, it was all in vain, I want to bow very deeply to Phil Gilbert for that. Gave every ounce to keep the attack alive. Chapeau.

Crosswinds possible once more.....

Looks like they're killing themselves to ride 20 km/h on the flat. Then a minute later they're doing 60 km/h in the tailwind.

Van Am caught 200 m from the line. Greipel won comfortably.
