Brad admitting in the interview that he usually chucks the toys out the pram if he crashes like yesterday or if its wet but he is really digging in. He took those corners in the wet very quickly and is facing his demons. Chapeau Brad!

Visconti did sterling service throwing himself under Sir Brad to break his fall. Maybe could be considered for a minor award for gallantry?

Can anyone stop him winning the overall?

Quintana and martin could potentially take back time on the next 3 stages if they have a gap over the climbs and the final descents are slippy, but its quite a lot of time to take back

The top riders struggle to take more than a few seconds off each other on massive Alpine climbs so they're not gonna take 2 mins off wiggo in britain

Probably easier to make time on Wiggins in a hilly stage in Britain than on a massive Alpine climb, though I agree under normal circumstances Wiggins should win this easily.

...which is not to say that wiggos defo gonna win. He's already crashed once and was lucky not to be injured. But i cant see any GC rival taking time off him barring disasters. Sky are way too strong and the weather looks like its gonna improve so i think the most dangerous/demanding stages are behind them

My plan is to throw myself under his wheels on the descent of Caerphilly mountain having laid him on the exchanges. Ill probably mistake him for a Rapha rider

Obviously a good ride from Wiggins but difficult to judge how good it was against this field and with Dowsett saying he wasn't feeling well.

Dowsett seems to think Wiggins is going well:

Not my best today,no secret I haven't been well lately but that didn't cost me a min. Fabian & Tony had better be ready, bradley is flying!

Well you can clearly see that from result. On a 16km course to take out such margins is insanse.

Yes, the competition isn't greatest, but you can see Wiggins is looking good.

Will be a good Worlds hopefully.

I think for Dowsett to say that shows just how good Brad is again right now. He hasn't had a busy year to date and is going to be in top shape come the Worlds.

Surprised Cavendish finished top 10. Does this mean he is focussing on the World TTT?

Nope, not selected, TTT team is Sylvain Chavanel, Michal Kwiatkowski, Tony Martin, Niki Terpstra, Peter Velits and Kristof Vandewalle

At this rate, next year's Italian ITT champs will be a battle between Pirazzi and Pozzovivo!

ok, an expected result. Sir Wiggo on top. But what now? Endless group rides with some sprinting in the end or will some contenders step up and risk it all early?

IAM, Bardiani, Movistar and MTN should be able to do something.

He's always been a decent TT'er but usually soft pedals on TT's so he doesn't waste any unnecessary energy if there are flat stages coming up.

Short TT's yes but I really doubt he'd do anything respectable in a long TT even if he was trying.

Having a Sky rider as a GC contender in yellow isnt gonna do much for the race, entertainment wise.
