Blimey Cav came from miles back to win that stage.

Not sure if Renshaw knew he'd dropped him...

Indeed, it certainly wasnt a conventional Mark-Mark 1-2. Cavendish had to come from a long way back, while Renshaw was perfectly placed. Renshaw could well have won if he had fully committed, which Im not sure if he did.

Congrats to Boom. Not a great race this year except for stage 6. Boom was a deserving winner and can go well at the WC. Nice ride by Dowsett as well. How do Dowsett and Sergeant match up in any races they have done against each other???

Really enjoyed yesterday. Lots of stuff going on all day, well organised and well marshalled. My one criticism is the time between the stages. There was a three-hour gap to allow for a couple of charity events, a hot lap with known people and the tour ride. I'm all for charity but I would have preferred one of those to be before the time trial because from start of the time trial to the bunch sprint was a little too long.

I was wondering how much time they have between stages at the criterium international and any other race with multiple stage days. Two hours seems acceptable to me.

I have some photos that I'll link to later and it looked like Renshaw eased up for Cav to win in London from where I was standing.

I think partly it being February and not in form, and partly the competition including the likes of Tony Martin, contributed to his less impressive Algarve TT.

Looking back at the field at the Algarve, I'd say the competition, I'd forgotten that the likes of Martin and (a then in form) Kloeden were there.

Indeed and echoed. As a new poster, I hope this is not old news, but the English commentators don't seem to be able to pronounce Dutch names properly.

Boom is not pronounced as in 'explosion' (so comical) but as in 'tome' or 'loam'.

Joost is not pronounced as in 'boost' but as in 'boast'.

I tried telling the ITV4 people this during the TDF and Vuelta, but i was ignored, sadly.
