I had a lot of money on Roche for the overall in this race. It was all going to plan until 1.5km out.

What a massive gear he turned. I think if he sat tight until the last kilometre, he would have finished closer to Zardini.

Looks to be between Wiggo and Kwiatkowski for the overall.

I wouldn't give up on your money yet ...Roche is the better climber of the 3 IMO so needs to try and gain sometime on them both , which is not impossible

In 1999 the Bristol stage was a total massacre. I believe the stage back then was harder? And of course...there is Voigt. :D

Can't see it being like that tomorrow. Final hill is about 700m at 9% and then 2km of flat.

Kwiatkowski I reckon.
Swift should be up there though right?

Well done zardini. He could see that roche(the most tactically inept rider in the peloton) was in that shocking gear(not for the first time) all out with still 2k to go.

Guys like Roche just add a whole lot of spice to bike racing.

This is not Alpes we are talking but hills. Kwiatek is superior in TT and on par in these hills. And then Wiggins who is stil with a chance of overall quite easily too.

Roche is not winning.

Really? It's almost impossible to distance Kwiatkowski on such a short climb. Roche had his chance today but he wasn't able to put the hammer down...

"I saw at a certain point that Roche was coming back up. I was going flat out, but I caught my breath for a moment before he got back up to me. He dropped me but not by much," he explained. "If I had continued at that rhythm, I’d have blown up and they’d have caught me. Instead, I sat up for a moment, I let him think that maybe I was finished, and then I attacked again to take this fantastic victory."

Young Nicolas got outfoxed by the experienced Italian today.

So Sir Bradley is at 24 sec but stage 7 Camberley-Brighton looks good,in theory he could gain some time on that stage+TT,should be enough for the win.I think normally is between Wiggo and Kwiatkowski.

Oh the Irony. That's exactly the tactic his dad used to claw back Delgado to win the Tour de France in 87.

The truth is that Roche attacking is great, but Roche cracking is even greater:D I like the guy,but every time i see him doing a crazy attack,i'm just thinking now way he's gonna finish this.Zardini was unbeatable, but props for Roche he's such a showman.

Just been to the stage start in Worcester, got most of the OPQS boys autographs. Also picked up Sutherlands as he went past too. Great weather for it again, now back home to watch the race this afternoon on tv. Looks a tricky finish so maybe a reduced bunch sprint.

Gap coming down now, OPQS on the front bringing it back. 2'36 with 68km to go.

As expected. It was clear all along that Bardiani wouldn't or couldn't do it on their own. And Kwiatkowski wants to win the overall. This ToB is very well suited for his skills. I'm glad he got back into form for the worlds. If Valverde and Gilbert are amongst the favorites, he has to be in the mix, too. :p

Double puncture for Dowsett, loses over a minute so now is rejoining the peloton. Break down to 8.

Hansen, Velits and Timmer have attacked from the break. 1'11 with only 11km to go. This could be close.
