A couple of decent category one dayers in this region and maybe around the dales would do nicely, would like to have an uninterrupted ride on these roads over a weekend. Difficult conditions and good for racing, 'there are bitter weeds in England'.

Based on the announcing today, the break is a sure thing to make it to the end since Cav is in it. I don't ever remember hearing commentators make it sound like a break cannot be caught when the peloton is keeping them on a fairly tight leash like this.

What do those zig-zaggy markings on the roads in Britain mean? I've never understood that...

Otherwise there have been some sheep, cow, and haystack sightings since I've tuned in, lots of green on both sides of the road... I like this stage so far.
