He destroyed the breakaway on the Ventoux. These the same people who said he would go the Tour with zero prep for the mountains and then we saw him destroy the world on the double Ventoux?
Ok.

Does that change the fact we were fed a healthy dose of BS?He destroyed the breakaway on the Ventoux.

I don't think it was BS, if anything the people at Jumbo-Visma are always way too open giving information. WvA really did have a crappy preparation for the TdF this year, it's just an incredibly good rider that suprised the staff of Jumbo that day.
They said he wouldn't be bood at the start of the Tour, then he didn't compete for the win on the first 2 hill top finishes at all and had a comparatively bad ITT.Does that change the fact we were fed a healthy dose of BS?
It's outside the Eryri/Snowdonia park, and I don't think the summit complex is within any of the conservation areas that are on the Gogarth/Orme, but of course the landowner can put whatever restrictions they want. You could imagine a finishing circuit in the style of Fleche Wallonne, doing the main part of the climb up to the midway tram stop then making the twisty descent down to Marine Drive; there's another steep climb just south of the A55 you can link up with.Isn’t it part of the national park so maybe they can’t trammel the fields?
Sagan is not a clown at all, Alaphilippe on the other hand is clown and a half!Poor form not to name the poster you are criticising.
I also don't agree that Sagan is a clown on a bike in the same style as Alaphilippe. In fact, I think they race quite differently (aesthetically too).
I wonder why there aren't two or three Classic type races in the UK - Their is differently the parcours to make for interesting racing.
It's ridiculous that UK doesn't have any world tour races and no major one-day races, considering how many British riders there are. It's just a result of the historical antipathy to road racing here which just makes it harder to organise anything and i suppose the fact that we are physically separate from mainland Europe (+ brexit) makes it more difficult to get the world tour peloton racing here. The organisers of the ToB deserve a lot of credit consideringIndeed but they seem stuck on keeping the Vino, sorry Olympic, heritage going with that tepid Ride London Classic.
I used to ride and TT round this stage five area a lot and loved it.
The Ride London Classic was a WT event but hasn't been on the calendar in 2020 and 2121 because of Covid. It's ridiculous that UK doesn't have any world tour races and no major one-day races, considering how many British riders there are. Yeah, one could even create a nice race around some of the larger cities...The Ride London Classic was a WT event but hasn't been on the calendar in 2020 and 2121 because of Covid.
Such an unmemorable race though and a real waste of a WT slot considering the available alternative parcours..
