A shame that no one lower down the GC was willing to attack on Stage 3 and 4.

They tried multiple times yesterday (and once on stage 3 too). I think you overestimate that parcours. Lotto just controlled it easily.

I guess. Finding climbs equal to the hills of Vejle is quite a challenge.

If they can get something really steep in the local circuit. There is a possibility of more than one day of GC action.

Tobias Lund Andresen in his post-race interview said that after after crossing the line today, Nizzolo rode by and pointed to 2 riders down the road (riders nearly lapped on the line) and said "too bad we didn't get the break again today" - and completely freaked Lund out after his mistaken jubilation yesterday

I'm not sure Cort is going to get as big a chance of winning the GC in later editions as he had this time. He is in great shape, a guy like Fisher Black isn't, and even De Lie may not be at 100 percent. You have to be sharp to win small stage races, and Cort wasn't sharp. As I mentioned earlier this week, the team may have let him make too many of the tactical decisions. There was no Kristoff or similar experienced rider to question Cort's views.

I guess the beauty of this race is that the strongest rider doesn't always win. It's like Strade Bianche in which a wide variety of riders got a chance of winning.

Those who looked the strongest got a lot of bad luck. Bjerg (crashed multiple times), Van Den Broeck (puncture on the most crucial movement at the queen stage) and Trentin (cramped just before the last Kiddesvej).

With Bjerg and VDB still present in the breakaway, I'm not even sure De Lie would have been able to catch the front group.

I don't think De Lie was near 100% as it's his first race since the Tour and he's aiming for the 2 Canadian races next month.
