I was replying to the guy above who stated that Van Staeyen won...is my post that strange?

Haha, I overlooked that one and genuinely thought you had predicted Van Staeyen for the win, which would've been impressive. Mijn excuses!

Yes, today we saw the expected Saxo Bank superiority with Breschel and Fuglsang destroying the opponents - top 10:

1. Matti Breschel, Team Saxo Bank
2. Jakob Fuglsang, Team Saxo Bank s.t.
3. Joost Van Leijen, Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team +0.17
4. Troels Vinther, Glud & Marstrand-LRØ Rådgivning s.t.
5. Xavier Florencio, Cervélo Test Team s.t.
6. Sergei Firsanov, Team Designa Køkken-Blue Water s.t.
7. Koen De Kort, Skil-Shimano s.t.
8. Richie Porte, Team Saxo Bank s.t.
9. Svein Tuft, Garmin-Transitions s.t.
10. Sep Vanmarcke, Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator s.t.

Fuglsang must be the hands on favorite now with guys like Porte and Tuft as possible candidates for the overall podum. If Voigt was is this group he could be as well. Surprisingly good efffort by Troels Vinther, maybe he can get a pro contract based on his performance in this tour of Denmark?

Porte lost over 3 minutes on the 1st stage(not sure why as San Sebastian showed he's on good form), otherwise I'd pick him for the overall.

Three Saxos crashed in stage one, I think Porte may have been one of them.

The result of saturdays first short stage - another 1-2 finish, this time HTC:

1 Mark Renshaw - HTC Columbia
2 Matt Goss - HTC Columbia
3 Alex Rasmussen - Saxo Bank
4 Theo Bos - Cervélo
5 Pim Lighthart - Vacansoleil
6 Pirpaolo De Negri - ISD-Neri
7 Sacha Modolo - Colnago-CSF
8 Kenny van Hummel - Skil-Shimano
9 Gorik Gardeijn - Vacansoleil
10 Marc Hester - Team Post Danmark
11 Matti Breschel - Saxo Bank

Great to see Renshaw getting his own wins as well.

Tonight the maybe crucial time trial, where Breschel will have his trouble defending the leaders jersey from guys like Fuglsang and Tuft.

Fuglsang just got through the time check, he's up 6 seconds on Svein Tuft and he had a 31 second advantage before the TT, He should win the Tour of Denmark unless something goes very wrong.

ETA: Svein Tuft appears to have gone very fast for the second half of the TT, having taken 19 seconds on Porte and won the stage unless Fuglsang beat his time.

ETA2: Fuglsang in 4 seconds behind Tuft, meaning Tuft wins the stage, but Fuglsang wins the overall unless something goes wrong on the WC route in the last stage which I think is unlikely given Fuglsangs form and Saxo's team strenght.

If Busche can hang onto third place tomorrow, this will be a good result for the young American. Finishing on a podium is no small feat for a first time pro tour rider, even in a less prestigious race such as the Tour of Denmark.

Pretty decent tour for Team Radioshack if results stands. Busche on the podium and Jesse Sergent in the young rider jersey in his first pro race. Not that bad.
