That second crash, instigated by the Movistar rider... My god you're swerving from left to right like crazy

Yes, but a Jayco rider swerved the other way so that was why the Movistar rider crashed. But true, he was definitely also at fault himself.

How does Paret-Peintre manage to be able to sprint what with him being the thinnest person alive?

I only watched the final couple of kilometres. But how was Vine dropped? Was he sacrificed on the front? And I see Hayter continues his theft. This stage should have been perfect for him. When is the Het Nieuwsblad column?

Why do the organisers think it's a good idea to only put graphics on the screen for a very few seconds at a time and then keep them away for like an hour?

How hard is it to underwear such basic things of broadcasting cycling?

And don't they usually have a helicopter?
Am I the only one to have noticed this? How did nobody else spot the strangest typo of a generation?

And got 11 seconds on Yates and Gaudu. Maybe he can surprise and win this

Just goes to show, even in a smaller group, wide road, at the top of a mountain so initial speed is slower, the riders still manage to crash. Just swerving left and right taking out each others wheels. Crashes a mostly about the riders more than any other factor.

I'm guessing that 7s gap at least will disappear from the results due to the crashes? Even on a stage like this some sort of rule like that applies right?

I dont know. Maybe something happened or he is not feeling too well.

Just there to support Yates? Who knows.

He could also be doing UAE Tour after this, where he looked good until he didnt last season. He will likely support Pog there, if he goes, but maybe could do something on GC in that race. Given the ITT and mono-MTF stages.

Maybe he is looking for slower approach and the target is races further ahead for him, where he has kind of missed out on in the previous years with time spent on the sideline.

Maybe budget cuts
this is 5g coverage with a drone only, which is also why they don't even sell live broadcasting rights internationally.

Great first pro win for Vervaeke!

Now I want Pieter Serry and Tim Declercq to do the same!

Obviously I can't complain with Vervaeke and VPP doing a 1-2 but I am a bit worried about Hayter. This should have been a finish where a good Hayter would always compete for the win in the past. I hope he can find that level again.

It has been corrected now. Only stage 3 & 5 are without the 3 km rule.

From article 7 in the rules:
As Stage 3, Fanja > Eastern Mountain and stage 5, Imty > Jabal Al Akhdhar (Green Mountain) have uphill finishes, the rule concerning the last 3 kilometres will not be applied.

Hippos are supposed to be quite dangerous too.
In most of natural areas, wildlife sanctuaries and zoos they have a yellow card system in place so Hippocampus won't act so dangerous..
Not effective at all,
UCI can't get out of it's own way... crashes in almost every race male and female so far..and looks like the solution is when teams drop out for other dangerous conditions, done on a team by team opinion basis.
