As someone who isn't in this silly CQ game. It does ruin threads.

I suggested, that it stays in the CQ thread.
In hindsight the game means little (even tho i do like the game, It doesn't alter whom I support in races one bit.) and isn't fair for non-participants.

well done goss i guess.

think the Cav tweet was just a prediction made at a very bad time, and the whole world retweeted it.

Yeah it should. Everything relating to that game should stay in the CQ thread. Race threads should be that, race threads. Not threads with comments such as I hope so and so wins so I can get a good score etc.

Race threads are designed for intelligent discussion. Hell, I have a team in there and I'm not following it closely. I'll just see what it is doing in a few months time.

How come the info on this race is so embarrassingly bad? Shouldn't it be roughly the same as in Qatar?

The diffrence is no live coverage. Info is much better when people can actually see the finish.

Goss win looks fairly comfortable there. He certainly is fast.

wonder how long till we have another cav/greipel situation (tho i think cav and goss get along?). Goss is certaibly good enough to be a leader at the big races anyway.

The season has barely started, but how many 2nd and 3d places has Bennati gathered already?

This would be his 5th 2nd or 3rd counting the overall in Qatar. 4 are in sprints.

Plus Goss survives hard races way better than Cavendish

I think the diffrence is that Greipel was the main sprinter in T-Mobile/Columbia when Cav came along and took his spot pretty much and there were instances where they would clash in races over who would get to sprint. That doesn't seem to be the case just yet with Goss. Here Goss is the new one but he's not faster than Cav so I doubt he could come in and take over Cavs spot like Cav did to Greipel.

Also Cavs ego didn't help in the Greipel situation either.

Yeah, but why is that? Shouldn't this be a more interesting race than Qatar? And aren't the same guys behind it?

yeah but as DT mentioned goss is superior in other areas. Heck Goss would be a chance for green and msr if cav wasn't in his team (imo anyway).
Surely there will come a point, where goss will want to be leader at the races he wants.

And cav's ego was a problem. agreed. If things continue like this, how long till cav starts to get jealous or defensive towards goss?

Qatar is a little older, but yeah ASO does both races, so a little weird indeed.
