Great racing today, so many crowds and such twisty roads. The profile really seemed like it was almost flat at the end, but it was anything but.

Next three stages should not suit the sprinters. Only the last one on Sunday. Tomorrow's stage.

Unless Ackerman can go over that 5.4km 7.7% climb, there is another 15km from the bottom of the descent to the finish still.
PS: Cavendish finished about 10 minutes down on the bunch today.

On a related note, last year's winner Primoz Roglic is now officially also a first time dad :)

Live coverage has started earlier today so we're already racing. It's live on Eurosport There is 50km to go, just in time for the nice climb.

Team UAE are leading the peloton at a high pace... gap to the break is sitting at 2’20” with 50km to go.

Strange move by Pogacar, almost isolating himself.

I think he wanted to work with Chaves but Chaves was having none of it.

Pogacar seems to be struggling a bit now.
EDIT: Dropped now.

Yeah wasn't expecting that, but at least Ulissi seems to be in super form for UAE.

Chaves crashed downhill. Not too bad it seems.
EDIT: TWICE

Bad luck. But it seems he got off pretty okay since they were a low speed corner crashes.
