Wasn't Bauhaus the kind of sprinter that gets dropped on a false flat just 2-3 years ago? Really improved his climbing ability.

Bauhaus was in the group of sprinters that got dropped on the big climb in the middle of the stage. This group got back to the front with just over 10kms to go and there was a punchy section for 2 or 3kms in which sprinters like Groenewegen and Welsford were dropped again.

No, Groenewegen didn‘t get back to the front, he wouldn‘t have finished 14 minutes down otherwise.

Bauhaus doesn't have Strava, but after the stage he said that he returned together with Kristoff and Dainese. Kristoff has Strava, and according to that only lost 25s on the climb, and made it back quickly after.

Welsford and Groenewegen lost 1:35 on the climb, and never returned.
