I'm always really looking forward to this race. I absolutely love the region, I have spent some very good moments in places along the route, the racing is always fantastic and it's the preparation race for the highlight of the season. What more could you ask for.

Now I'm all back in memory lane I'm pretty sure my very first thread here was asking for the best climbs in the area of Torbole/Riva del Garda on holiday.

I wasn't near specific enough that I wasn't even a reasonably trained recreational rider so all the suggest climbs were wayy too much for me.

Well, since the name change the race doesn't take place just in Trentino so the old name just doesn't fit anymore. I agree though that Tour of the Alps sounds super lame.

I still think Alpenrundfahrt is better than Tour of the Alps though, but like a lot things it definitely does sound great in Italian.

It's always a good race, in great surroundings. Obviously, Pinot's back is a big thing for me, but there's a nice field and I'm curious to see who's in great shape, who is not, as we get closer and closer to Il Rundfahrt of Italy.

Ugh, it’s for that other thread, but I’m disliking the continuing pattern of folks passing up prep races to go “train” at altitude camps.

I spent some days around this region in 2019 on vacation with my family. Beautiful landscaping. The funny thing is that they speak Ladino. Isn't that right? that language sounds more like Germanic (Austria), even though is mostly located in Italy. Go figure. BTW, this region is a bicycle rider's dream.
