The race coverage (video of the racers) went out during the most scenic part of the course (the road between Escalante & Boulder), it's a road like nothing else out there: on a sandstone ridge dividing two broad slick-rock valleys with a large canyon on the west side and (though you can't see it from up there) 2 large waterfalls. There are pine trees growing out of the slick-rock. There are tons of technical slot canyons, if you are into that thing, to be explored in that area. It was ironic to me that the coverage came back just as the race just departed that landscape and went up into a more "normal" mountain scene.
We were there this past May and I drove the road, but never was able to bike it. I got the impression it would be a tough climb, relative to climbs in USA. I have never ridden in Europe, so that that for what it's worth.

I think Gregory Brenes will be on the front, he is a talented rider and he has worked really hard these months. I know him very well

Acevedo, Hesjedal and Horner will be the main Contenders.

I went over the road in June on my way to Little Death Hollow and Wolverine canyons. The view on top is spectacular. What a fail to have that not show up on the coverage.

sweet. We rappelled about 280 feet into Micro Death Hollow (not the same as Little Death Hollow) and followed it down to the Escalante River this past May. I have a friend who owns a house ontop of a mesa above Boulder Utah. One of the most gorgeous settings anywhere!

They still don't even have any pictures posted except for one of the finish

I absolutely love southern Utah.

Haven't seen any live pictures, but even those few images in the cn race report show how glorious this stage's landscape has been. The highlight of the year for sure, and it's a shame it didn't get the coverage it deserved.

I agree 100% about brenes. you know him personally?

movistar should've signed him after he proven himself in vuelta colombia at very high level to eb good stage racer.

This deserves a mention, Gavin Mannion of Bontrager went down on yesterdays stage. But will race on. Chapeau to him for continuing, his injuries looked painful.

Have to thank the medical staff @theTourofUtah for taking care of me today. Think they ran out of thread after all my stitches!

I don't think it's that bad, commentary messes up and repeats sometimes and video breaks up every now and then. But lots of good info of how far to go, the situation, map, where there at, etc. It's better then nothing.

thanks for the updates, not able to watch the tour tracker today.
Not a fan of the commentary on the tracker. Tim Johnson is OK, I guess, but that other guy.....
