^ That would be my pick.

Not a half bad team! Velits & Devenys are pretty decent climbers to be domestiques for Levi & Martin. Chavanel doesn't usually work for anybody however, so maybe he will just be doing his own thing the whole time.

Does this look right?

Eros Capecchi - Domestique
Sylvester Szmyd - Mountain domestique
Valerio Agnoli - Mountain domestique
Damiano Caruso - Mountain domestique

lolwut a guy with a GT podium supporting martin? must be one of the most absurd things i have read in months.

if anything they should have martin and devenys working for velits and let bottle have a free role to see if he still has it.

velits was very unlucky last year at the tour but he was still strong on most mountain stages.

One team I would be interested in seeing the squad/provisional for would be Movistar.
There are some really talented riders there all vying for a place.
Just of the top of my head you have: Valverde, Cobo, Rojas guaranteed and then Kiryenka, Arroyo, Plaza, Costa, Karpets...

Koren must be in San Pellegrino then. :)

No he is in Slovenia. He is racing Tour of Slovenia, which starts on Thursday. Agnoli, Bodnar, Caruso, Marangoni, Nerz, Paterski and Juraj Sagan are supposed to start the race also.

since his podium spot in the Vuelta Velits didn't show anything anymore and i don't count his win in the early season as an important achievement

i hope i'm wrong but i fear it's another of Lefevere bad luck GT buys...

last year he was stronger then it may seem at the tour.

he was saved from doing full work on the htc train till the first mountain stage but he was very unlucky there, 2 mechanicals and a fall on the run in to the tourmalet had him start the climb minutes down on the peloton( around 4), this is where he finished on the stage:

31. Peter Velits, Htc – Highroad, at 04:15, he was super strong that day but being unlucky ruined his GC placing right there and granted him a full time job on the htc train for the rest of the tour, on stage 16 to pau where he just barely didn't manage to follow contador, evans and samu and on the alpe stage he was also very strong finishing with the evans group.

like it or not his not so good tour this is still about a billion times better then martin has shown on his entire career in terms of GC riding on a GT, so why the hell shoud velits support martin?

OPQS long list
Dario Cataldo, Sylvain Chavanel, Gerald Ciolek, Dries Devenyns, Kevin De Weert, Bert Grabsch, Levi Leipheimer, Tony Martin, Jerome Pineau, Gert Steegmans, Matteo Trentin, Stijn Vandenbergh, Peter Velits

My guess from OPQS:

I think Levy, Tony M, P. Velits , Chavanel, De Weert, Ciolek, Devenyns and Pineau are all pretty certain, and then either Steegmans or Trentin to leadout Ciolek will finish the team. Propably Steegmans since Trentin is young.

From the other, the team really dont need a rider like Grabsch and Cataldo will be too tired after both the Giro and TDS, and then Vandenbergh is just not as good a chance to get a stagewin as other options Devenyns and Pineau.

A pretty solid team, that could callenge for the teamclassification with at least 4 riders capable of top 20. I still doubt they will manage to get 1 rider in top 10 though, but they should do well in all terrain and challenge for some stagewins.

I think they can easily sacrifice Rojas this Tour. He can neither win the stage nor fight for maillot wert and is suited to any kind of team work very very bad. Alex, Juanjo, Arroyo, Costa, Kiry, Guti, Karpets, Plaza and Erviti. :)

why should Steegmans leadout Ciolek? Steegmans won on the Champs Elysees...

They're bringing Oss almost 100% so that leaves 4 spots to be decided.

Rojas can certainly win the green jersey.
Last year he would have won it if you take Cav out of the equation and that may very well happen this year...

Only problem is Sagan..

Yes, he finished 4th in the alpe d'huez stage and then 9th in the long TT. Not bad going for the end of the tour and i get the impression that OPQ expect him to do well in the tour this year. Still hasnt replicated his long TT performance from the Vuelta in 2010, not sure what to make of that.

don't forget that change of wind helped him on the last itt of the vuelta.

Hm, i remember there was some discussion about that. He still beat Nibali and Danielson by about 2 minutes and they would have set off at a similar time so the mentioned change in wind did help but it was still pretty impressive.
