maybe he needed a result like this for confidence, maybe he just peaks really well and is average for large portions of season. Hard to know with only this to go by.

Paris-Nice it is then as Contador will do Tirreno-Adriatico if he's not banned. If he's banned than Riis is a genius once again if he really does sign Froome.

Don't worry if Contador was going to be banned, he had been banned in June. At 99% he will be cleared.

And for Froome going to Saxo... I think is better to have only Contador ahead than Wiggo and Cavs.

From what I know Contador and Bjarne were yesterday in Madrid and met with Froome.;)

Didn't Froome had a lot of injuries? Kinda like Vanendert?

I hope Geox pulls out of cycling and Riis can get his hands around Cobo. And Menchov needs to go to Katusha. Perhaps Sastre back to Riis as well?

Kind of a blunder to allow Froome to leave, I would of signed him up earlier this year but I'm not Brailsford.. Still good luck to him and he might get a chance at going for a GT next year depending on what Contador rides.

Since Contador is riding the tour and vuelta, he will only get to ride the giro for himself which might be too hard for him.

But he could also ride some 1 week stage races, he could win some of them.

He could but he has only performed well in 1 race so we have to see how he does in other races after this vuelta.

i've also heard it from someone from madrid yesterday.it might be true,i don't know...

I'm sure the rumour exists, and it may even be true. Was genuinely checking I hadn't missed an announcement.

If a team outbids Sky then they will be paying Froome a heck of a lot of money. Very risky.

According to this German/Swiss site tracking transfers, Froome is linked to half the pro peloton, so I would guess it's more than 50/50 that he'll go somewhere else than Sky since I doubt it's all baseless.

Maybe a one hit hit wonder, I never really looked at him as a serious contender untill he ripped a very quick time trial last year at the Brit nationals. Showed he had some horsepower even though he was on a bad year.

He has climbed fairly well on certain occasions before so if he got some consistency he should be very good. plus he's only 26 even though he seems to of been around a lot longer.

Gianetti confirmed during the Vuelta that he had extended the contract with Cobo for two more years. Doesn't sound like Geox would pull out now.
