Visconti to leave Farnese Vini-Neri, Vacansoleil, Quick Step and Movistar in the hunt for him

I was afraid this would happen eventually. This team has been his "home" since the amateur days, and when they went pro he came back.
I still hope he stays and has a Voeckler-like season next year as reward for it.

Sastre, with 15 GT top 10s, is hardly inconsistent in my eyes, he's just past his peak.

Another rider in question is Sinkeldam. I am sure he will get a ride with a decent team, possibly rabo, but we shall see. They already have bol and kelderman making the jump.

I believe Barry Marcus is going to ride as a stagiere for vasc. and if all goes well may have the oppurtunity to sign a 2 year contract. Which I suspect is likely.

Maybe a simple typo? Not really sure, but I've seen worse editing from CN! We all knew what he meant.

Mixed emotions with this one.

Hopefully in a top level team he can get results in bigger races.

But at a smaller team he can help them punch above their weight.

I guess Farnese Vini have Guardini now, so it's all good.

It's not "all good" - this team have been the solution to boredom in races for the last couple of years, and we'd likely see them turn into a sprinter's team, though probably not of the strength to really interfere much with the major trains.

Hopefully Guardini can become a top threat in the McEwen vain and allow the team to maintain their current identity sans Visconti, a bit like a much better version of how Gavazzi picks up wins for Colnago-CSF.
