Renshaw isn't going with Cav or Bernie, he just tweeted,

Mark_Renshaw Mark Renshaw
Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement. Hard decision to make but i feel its time to try my hand at winning. Big times ahead!

and then said

Mark_Renshaw Mark Renshaw
Have so many great memories with @HTCHighroad, @MarkCavendish, Burnie & guys. Cycling is a small world, Im sure we will work together again!

And this article confirms he has signed with Rabo (not sure how reliable it is though)

Don't think he's a good buy. Who else has Rabo bought this season? Haven't heard much about them. I know they'll get some fresh talent next season from their conti team, but other then that I haven't heard much.

I personally like it this way.

Young talents > Foreign signings. (of course I think it is essential to have a mixture of dutch riders and other nationalities but rabo have enough).

But you can't expect them to already win on a frequent basis next season. And with HTC folding it was a golden opportunity to buy some big names. I don't think Renshaw will make a great sprinter. He already got to ride for him self a few times this season and always failed except in Qatar.

I don't. But I expect the riders who are developing already in the main squad to win. Remember riders don't stay young forever. The Gesinks Mollemas and Booms of rabobank are leaving the 'young rider' label and beginning to move into leader of the team label, allowing other youngsters to come through and thus we have a trend here.

Plus they have enough potential winners in that squad, don't worry ;)

Martens
Breschel
Matthews
Friere(?)
Renshaw
Bos
Gesink
Kruijswijk
Mollema
LLS
Barredo
Boom
etc

I am sure they can find some wins.

A big priority for Rabobank is development of dutch riders. Apparently they also want to tap into Australia Market for sponsor reasons (and believe me, the rabobank is expanding here, it used to only do agricultural banking here but is now involved in personal banking and such matters, not to mention they are the main sponsor of a team in one of the biggest codes of football here(rugby) in melbourne.. The rabo rebels.) Why should they change this approach because some good riders are all of a sudden free?

Unfortunately you are looking at the situation at only a sporting perspective, when rabo are concerned with sponsor perspective and other particular objectives.

Rabo appear to have a long term plan for their riders, thus all the youth and based on what has been produced in the last 5 years they are very much starting to reap the rewards. It has been a long time since holland have had such strong riders coming through (especially in terms of stage racing) and if you look at the espoirs level they continue to produce good youngsters. Rabo might fail a lot tactically and result wise, but they are doing a lot for the dutch cycling.

I was actually thinking about this and the fact that a number of Dutch riders have been linked with joining GE. Maybe GE is signing Dutch riders with the idea of making the environment comfortable for one of the emerging Dutch GC talents at Rabo to jump across.

Or it might just be GE think the Dutch psyche is similar to Australia's

maybe. If Mollema or Kruijswijk continue to develop, maybe another youngster it could become a situation of too many GC leaders. But that is pure speculation.

But I mean in regards to Weening it was already somewhat surprising that he re-signed with rabo this year as he had shown frustrations with the team in the past (NK anyone?).

Langeveld I gotta assume rabo were pretty dissapointed with letting this guy go, he is probably Holland's best cobble rider atm. But I think he just wanted a change of scene.

but seems like a step down for Degenkolb, but I guess we will find out next year

Degenkolb has stated that he predominantly choose Skil because of the philosophy behind the team

who is leading out Tyler now ?

yeah, i've noticed that. Do you think Koldo Fernandez would be a good replacement for Dean as leadout?
