Wait. I'm a little slow here... Lotto has gone solo? I thought it was simply OPL merged with QS to make the OPQS team and the only reason "Lotto" didn't become part of the team name was because Omega-Pharma Lotto Quickstep is too difficult to say.

lol,
yeah, they're going solo, most probably with Ridley as co-sponsor. So it would be Lotto Ridley.
Not sure if they can secure a WT licence, it all depends on the signings.

I recall hearing something about Henao to Sky earlier in the season

Yes, the Henao story has been out since around February. His agent confirmed it in March, and he has already said in a couple of interviews in his own country that he had signed.

But of course, it doesnt really count until youve entered a race that the english speaking press have heard of, and given an english interview to cycling news. That way they can put "little known" after he wins the prologue, and then do a nice article announcing his signing a couple of days later and put it out as some sort of exclusive. :D

Didn't Sky sign Salvatore Puccio as well? Or am I making things up in my head? :)

My understanding is yes, but nothing has been announced yet by Sky.

They really need to send out a couple of press releases.

It would be no surprise to see at least one or two Kiwi's in an Australian team, but Garmin losing Dean? Hushovd and Farrar can't speak highly enough of the guy when it comes to lead outs.

Don't worry, you'll know once cyclingnews reports it and then you can come back and tell us about the exclusive.

To ?

grass is greener on the side of the fence

Not sure, but I think TeamSkyFan speculated that with regard to the radio interview where Bannan(?) suggested the team would have a Canadian.

Cav to Skil Shimano and Cesc Fabregas will reject a move to Barcelona to sign for Skil Shimano, and in turn, Skil and BMC will rule the cycling world.

Rumours have Dutch espoir Brian Bulgac signing with Lotto-Ridley. Other rumours have Joost van Leijen (VDC) joining Lotto-Ridley.

Speaking of dragging on...

Are we finally going to get some sort of proper announcement and fanfare about new signings on Sunday so Skynews can link it all up nicely?

Our hunch is that Cav may announce on sunday where he will ride next year. Its also our first official press attendance (and part of the reason we applied).

Not seen the rider list, but have a feeling that Luke Rowe might be riding for Team GB as well and may possibly be announced

IG said earlier that Henao was the first over several announcements over the coming weeks.

Does this mean you get to be anywhere near the finish?

So bitter about the fencing off and handing out of VIP tickets with no availability for the plebs and me.

Will have to try and camp out near the palace after church and watch a section of leadout, w00t.

to quote "there is limited press seating at the start finish area and this will be allocated on a first come first served basis" so no, not a lot, and no designated press photographer area at the start finish either from what I can gather.
