Kurt Asle Arvesen confirms he will retire at the end of the year. The Vuelta will be his final grand tour.

Just watched last stage of Eneco Tour on french eurosport and they said it's sure Greipel goes with JVDB to Lotto-Ridley.
Apparently Lars Bak goes to Lotto Ridley as well, should be official says French Eurosport... not a bad and ready for WT ...:)

And just read that Henderson will join them as well...

I think people are reading a little too much into comments made, or not made today.

The fact that Cav hasn't announced he's riding for Sky today doesn't mean he's not going to sign for them. I also don't think some tweets about David Millar mean he's signing for Garmin.

To be honest, I can't see him signing for Garmin. It'll sure **** Farrar (who is one of the top 5 sprinters in the world) off if he does.

I can only logically see Cav signing for Sky and any other would be a massive surprise to be honest.

Anyway, sounds like we'll hear his decision next week.

Mikel Snow, bаstard of the North. :p

As for Castroviejo, he's going to Movistar and Euskaltel is pretty mad at him.

So that would explain why he hasn't been selected for their Vuelta line-up?

Tom Boonen just said in an interview Gilbert made a good choice for picking BMC as his new team. Does he know something we don't?

Wow, terrible article. Okay, it's nice to see how's renewed their contracts and who hasn't, but:
Quote:
"Euskatel-Euskadi generally only sign riders from the Basque country but have two Frenchman on the team this year in Romain Sicard and Pierre Cazaux"

Uh-huh.

Also this:
Quote:
Ricardo Garcia and Victor Cabedo (...) are rumoured to be joining the professional team next year.

"Yes, they have options"

Hooray for abysmal translations!

I really don't get what you find so wrong in these two quotes???

Well, firstly that they've got the wrong spelling of Euskaltel...

And then on top of that that they've failed to recognise that Cazaux and Sicard are on the team because they're Basque. You could argue that they're stating "the Basque country" as in the specific region of Spain called País Vasco, but then Mikel Nieve is from Navarre, as are a couple of others on the squad.

The guys got to the French Basque Country thing before I could. As for the other quote, it's simply a bad translation. "They have options" implies they can choose between several teams for next year. "Tienen opciones", in Spanish, means they have a chance of making it to the A team.

so where's Levi going to wind up for next year's retirement ride? I posted on JB's FB feed asking him and he deleted my post.

Tbh, the last 5 posts could just be summed up by saying the Basque country overlaps both Spain and France.
