Zinoviev Letter said:He put in a good shift for Roche during the Vuelta. Admittedly that's not much by the standards of monument winners, but its not as if he did much by the standards of monument winners before he won Lombardia either. Presumably he's on the wage of a guy who can be expect to put in a solid day's work as a domestique rather than that of a guy who is expected to add more classics to his palmares.

How long does that take to heal? Gesink broke his femur in three places and was back winning the Tour of California in 6 months.Christian said:Hard to do much of anything with a broken @$$ my friend!![]()

Schleck didn't break his femur. You can't race with a broken femur. Tjallingii did it for 40 k in last year's Tour, but that's about it.Christian said:Not sure - Andy started racing again at the Tour of Beijing, so approximately 4 months after the crash in the Dauphiné, however later he stated that it was too early and that it actually threw him back in the healing process. I think the first race he did pain-free was Tour Down Under, but I don't know how long he had been able to train before that (he said in some interviews that for a long time he could not do more than 3 hours without pain). So that would be around 7 months before a pain-free return to racing. Beijing probably threw him back, plus he did 2 stages in the Dauphiné after he'd already broken his femur, the wuss
Christian said:/edit: One thing I remember though was last year in the Giro, he was the lone survivor of the breakaway on an epic mountain stage (forgot which one though). He finally got reeled in though
