They were too hesitant with that guy at Rabo, he could've been pro this year already, he showed much potential. But I wonder if he knows that he's practically signed for a PCT team, while he belongs in the WT.

If I remember correctly he didnt want to turn pro yet last year. There was certainly 1 guy at Rabo development team that didnt want to turn pro yet (and I dont see who else it can be then Olivier)

beppe conti:

alejet may be back at the tour de france already, lead-out man or for sagan or for cavendish.or he may stop

trek to be the nr 1 sponsor for a team with cancellara, santambroggio

today the d day for di luca and giro d'italia. acqua e sapone backs him and might become the 3rd name of the team. if this will happen, di luca, miholjevic and codol will be in the vini fantini line up for il giro

Yeah when I see those guys in the tv programme I am always face palming :D

well I think the program is great voetbal international for humor and also when they talk about football is ok. but their joiurnalists are horrible. they are always out on sensationalist things that everybody already knows and aren't sensational at all.

Hmm so then it would be:
Di Luca
Miholjevic
Codol
Santambrogio
Garzelli
Rabottini
Gatto
Taborre/Chicci/Monsalve and 2 out of these 3 I guess. Would be a nice team, although its still a nice team without Di Luca (and Miholjevic + Codol)

So the Mapei so called come back blew up already? :D Cancellara and Samtambrogio, strange combination, this rumour of Beppe Conti needs more names. I'm curious what will happen with the other RadioShack riders.

maybe grande spezialetti will come back to ride il giro for danilo too :p

man none of these rumours won't happen. still beppe conti ftw!
He was leading the peloton on the Mortirolo last year so not bad. One of the most well rounded, consistent and underrated domestiques of the past few years.

Not for people who really follow cycling seriously. Spezialetti is part of a list alongside Codol or Miholjevic, who really earned a reputation as long time solid domestiques.

According to Gazzeta dello Sport, Omega Pharma-Quick Step has made a deal with Petacchi for him to be Cavendish leadout men in the Giro. Only the rules by UCI are on the way of making the transfer official.

Those two would be unstoppable. The competition at the Giro will not be the hardest possible, either. Gavazzi might even be the no. 2 guy in the race as I haven't seen much from Goss or Degenkolb in a while.

there are just two sprint stages Cavendish can (and propably will) win: stage 1 and stage 6. I don't expect him to be still around for the final stage. So it does not really matter if he has Petacchi or not

Meh I'm just amusing myself by guessing the current pecking order of these sprinters. Actually Bouhanni is there so maybe

Cav
Bouhanni
Degenkolb
Gavazzi
Goss

just to make this clear, it is Mattia Gavazzi you are talking about being a better sprinter than Goss and Ferrari?! Francesco is not doing the giro.

Yup. I think he's going to go better. Francesco needs a selective race I'm talking aboug flat sprints.
