Elia Viviani extends with Cannondale Pro Cycling until end of 2015 ... therefore Sagan leaving (and signing with BMC) is now even more a reality :(

Would love them both to stay but would settle for Henao staying. Wiggins will probably retire after next season (or even this season if he wins the Giro and the World TT) so there will be plenty of room for Henao as a GT leader.

There wouldn't be room for both of them at Astana with Nibali and Fugslang's ego to contend with, and OPQS wouldn't be much better as Cavendish wants the TDF team built around him. Not that anybody involved will consider this much before leaving.

Now that OGE have stupidly decided not to offer all their money for the transfer season to Porte, they should focus on buying Uran/ Henao- one might come for cash. It would give OGE a good chance in GT stages, Ardennes (super strong squad of Albasini, Clarke, Gerro, Weening...) and maybe even the Vuelta.

Henao and Uran would be perfect for Astana.

Nibali to lead either Tour or Giro and use Vuelta to prepare for the Worlds. Henao and Uran to lead the two other GTs.

Would also fit in an all-attack team for the Ardennes.

I think GreenEdge have offered many $$$ to Porte. I think his decision to stay with Sky is not all about money. He'd found a very good team, ambiance, training partners (his training group in Monaco with Froome, Swift, Thomas etc) money obviously, coaches.
When his new contract ends, I think he'll sign for GreenEdge.

GreenEdge must really look for some GT guy, maybe a colombian is not what they're looking for.

How likely is it that Uran will join the colombian team? It is not like they have impressed anyone with their training regime and so on?

trhere are rumors of a very big team in colombia(uran hinted at it in a recent interview), they would sign some of the biggest colombian names, but they are rumors, and in colombia I have to see it first. corti's projhect is pretty much dead. he will be fired after the giro

no there won't henao isn't just interested in gt. he's interested in the tour. same for uran. uran is very angyr he hasn't done tour in recent 2 years and he's forced into helper role. both riders have so many points that signing both will get you instant wt status

uran and henao want to lead the tour, not the giro or vuelta. and basiclly in any other team they would get that status

hmmmm- Yes & no.
Yes- because they'll have their chances for small races & perhaps La vuelta.
No- because Nibbs will lead either Giro or Tour as he likes, but there is also the ardennes where Iglisky, Gasparoto & Nibbs himself are interested in. Perhaps Vino could make an agreement with them in the contract to the specific races they will be guarantied full leadership.....

Apart from this option I hope they won't go to Cannodale or Lampre where they will be spent.

How about Movistar? Valpiti & a lot of the Spaniards stars are in decline....

So if Nibali has the same schedule as this year, they'd fit?

they would never fit. they need to be in a team built around them. tehy also are great in classics and every smalles stage race don't forget

You just dont get it do you? This is not about Sagan being threatened by Viviani but about Cannondale securing fast finisher for the future without Sagan. Once his gone, Viviani is better option than trying to find another sprinter.

viviani is just a 2nd tier sprinter. when sagan isn't racing he can win races and score points for them.
