Should take Ovechkin, he's just a solid rouleur who can do a team job, but at least he's consistent and dependable. I guess that's the same for the modern Gusev. I doubt Katusha A will let them poach too many.

The others are a bit riskier, Rovny would be good though.

Shalunov should be on Tinkov's radar as well. Seems like a big talent, although I guess he could be another Zakarin/Novikov.

Another one that comes to mind is Firsanov. He was awesome last year, but seems to have cooled down. Maybe Tinkoff can get him back on top?

Shalunov was a trainee for Radioshack two years ago, but then didn't make the jump. He's won some pretty decent races this year though. I think its time he has another chance.

Cannondale for the Schlecks ? BMC might go for another GC rider as well or two with TJVG no sure thing to be a grand tour winner. I think Gilbert will leave BMC when his contract is up and Hushovd and Evans are on the way out. At least Evans anyway. The other option for BMC is one of the Colombian riders maybe.

I've always liked the idea of the Schlecks at Astana, and have always thought that at Astana there may be a good chance (or a better chance then there would be with them at any other team) of them being forced to do Giro-Vuelta instead of the Tour. If they don't stay with Trek, I hope they would end up going to Astana.

BMC I would rather not see them at. While I do like the team and they need a new GC contender, BMC isn't really a team that provides much structure for the riders. And that's something I think Andy especially needs right now.

Theres no way Cannondale could afford the schlecks- however if they took a huge pay cut then Cannondale could swoop in. Cannondale have a strong history of being a GC team and know how to handle themselves (or at least they did, most of the mountain domestiques are gone). Sagan is going to be a pretty healthy part of their budget though.

For Andy to get any results at Astana, I think he, management and Nibali would need to sit down and talk about what they want, if it coincides great, if not walk away.

Kreuziger, Basso, Nibali, Pellizotti, Szmyd...it's hard not to handle yourself as a GC team. Now only Basso remains the next best being Caruso? Orica looks more a GC team than Cannondale :p
I always think good GC riders who are up for grabs should go to Katusha. Super strong line up of domestiques without a solid GC rider. Rodriguez has stepped up, but I'm pretty sure he'd be happy with classics sprints, giro, vuelta, leaving classics breaks and the tour to andy and frank.

agree, we are probably in the fine tuning phase now. Trek should feel a little better after the last few stages.

I guess staying at TREK is the only solution for them. Remember that Leopard was built around them. Andersen and the management and staff will stay too.

but now trek is in charge and cancellara is their main man, they might also need the cash to recruit more domestiques for the classics.

They seemed to do alright this year, though if I was cancellara I'd want one other top 10 strength domestique.

They will have big cut and have a contract with bonus depending on victories, as it was mentioned earlier.
They arent gonna cost as before.
