Savio needs to do something. All his best riders are leaving it seems. Budget problems?

I'm not sure they see Atapuma going to BMC and Chaves going to Orica as a bad thing. Isn't the goal of the team to help develop young Colombians? So if some of them go on to reach World Tour level I don't think that's seen as a negative.

Machado to NetApp-Endura.

Kenny Pryde ‏@KenBobPryde

Something I learned today: @Tiagomachado85 signed for @NetAppEndura; Movistar has dumped Pinarello, Davide Villella is a new Italian star.

Pryde is a Scottish cycling journo (Endura is the link).

Good for him to find a team away from Portugal. Maybe his agressive style is more suited to the 2.1 and 1.1 races Netapp usually does.

Him and Mendes can now fight over who gets to be Netapp's Portuguese break specialist du jour.

I assume he is hired to bring results and not to mindlessly attack.

He would need to get back to his early 2011 form which i don't think will ever happen . . . Is there a rider that has failed as miserably as Machado after his GT?

Anyway NetApp rode Tirreno, Trentino, Dauphine, Poland and the Vuelta this year and in some of those races Machado had some results in the past so maybe its his chance to return to his old self:eek:

At worse, he can be a good rider for TTT and a solid domestique for Huzarski, Barta and Konig.

Machado leaving Radioshack is best thing that could have happened to him.
It's a team of losers who wasted his talent.
But he is still young and NetApp-Endura is a team where i think he can make some progress. Not entirely sure because i dont know the team.

Not a hopeful, I see. Machado, maybe, but they better damn give Mendes some freedom after his Vuelta.

Anyway, a good move I'd say.

He was always really good in the Volta ao Algarve, but maybe that was because he was on top form and the others weren't. Maybe he's just not that great of a rider.

He was good in Tirreno, Criterium International, Giro di Trentino and a few others races, not only Algarve.

Look at his results in 2011 up to the Giro and tell me there hasn't been a clearly drop in performance from him. And he was 25. . .

Oh and yes i have come to peace a long time ago with the fact that Machado was mostly hype, still there is a huge difference between his performances in 2010/2011 and 2012/2013.

Between apparently he had an offer from Katusha which he took to long to respond so they lost interest and received a offer from Lampre literally 2 hours after signing with NetApp, so my predictions weren't too far away :p

He is earning the same he was earning at RS and he hasn't exactly been performing well enough to earn a raise so it's not the end of the world :p
