In the comment section of the frontpage article, a user says the name of the manager is David McCann and not McQuaid. I assume the source of the cyclingnews article is the one that I quoted, so it might well be a mistake

The team's own site, which ought to know, lists McCann as Performance Analyst & Coach since he retired from riding in August, and McQuaid (Pat's son according to bicicilismo) is Manager.

Colombia made an ok showing at this years Giro, didn't set the race alight but they sure did more than a few other teams. I'd have no problem with them being invited again. IAM might be a better choice though.

colombia are attrocious team. horribly managed and trained they best not be invited. they make colombian cycling look pathetic if it wasn't for all colombians with european teams that show their true class

they don't say that though

probably samu sees himself as a directeur sportif when this team will become world tour. they say 2015-2016

always good to stay in contact with people with shiitloads of money

Ah yes, you're right, "para cuando cuelgue definitivamente la bicicleta". :D It would have been even more bizarre than the Wanty rumour from a few weeks ago.

Kreder had plenty of top10 finishes in the past two years. Even if he didn't do anything extraordinary, his results are quite a bit better than Rathe's.

He is a sprinter though.

20-year old Michael Kolář signs with Saxo Bank.

That would be a very weird signing. If so, he probably brings (at least) his own salary with him. Riis has a history of riders pretty much buying a spot on the team.

According to Van Schueren Samu Sanchez has to choose between Wanty and American ProConti team (which is UHC i guess).

2 more years at Saxo for old man Matteo Tosatto :) :)
Now this is a good signing, he his a valuable asset for the team in almost every race.
About Rathe, I hope he gets a contract. He won his first race close to my hometown in the Volta a Portugal!

Sertã, wasn't it? From the break iirc. I think that was the stage with the hilarious phone discussion with (details may be incorrect, it's been a while) the UHC DS whose wife was Brazilian, and it turned out decent understanding of Brazilian Portuguese doesn't quite equate to fluent understanding of Portuguese Portuguese.

Yes indeed it's mentioned here...

"Een van die nieuwkomers zou Samuel Sanchez kunnen zijn. De olympische kampioen van Peking zit nog zonder ploeg nadat ook Euskaltel het voor bekeken hield. "We hadden gisteren contact. Hij zal moeten kiezen tussen ons en een Amerikaans procontinentaal team."
