In the comment section of the frontpage article, a user says the name of the manager is David McCann and not McQuaid. I assume the source of the cyclingnews article is the one that I quoted, so it might well be a mistake

The team's own site, which ought to know, lists McCann as Performance Analyst & Coach since he retired from riding in August, and McQuaid (Pat's son according to bicicilismo) is Manager.

Colombia made an ok showing at this years Giro, didn't set the race alight but they sure did more than a few other teams. I'd have no problem with them being invited again. IAM might be a better choice though.

colombia are attrocious team. horribly managed and trained they best not be invited. they make colombian cycling look pathetic if it wasn't for all colombians with european teams that show their true class

That would be a very weird signing. If so, he probably brings (at least) his own salary with him. Riis has a history of riders pretty much buying a spot on the team.
