It's official: Tinkoff-Saxo signs with @petosagan on a 3-year contract! No slowing down! #2015"

Finaly they have stopped this ****ty PR game.

Congrats. Now the EBH signing has a sence for me. I assume they will win a lot together. Probably EBH even more then Sagan :D, at least in the beginning.
I am still curious who else will be added to their classic team. Certainly OFQS spring domination might be in trouble right now. I can´t wait till spring.

There's been oddly quiet in regards to EBH's transfer though.

Was it MTN-Q who was after him also, less pay probably but also more sovereign captain status. The talk of reunion with Holm at steppers i the total opposite scenario, but maybe a guy who knows him best(?).

Eddy Bos still probably has it in him to be a good domestique at world tour level. If he wants to start winning races again then a move to one of the top pro continental teams would make a lot of sense. It's sad to see how he has declined in the last two years but I'm not at all sure he can come back.

What does Astana have to do with the Crimea?

He made some comments that he had jokily gotten asked if he hasn't changed his passport already by teamates. I suppose many of the Kazakh-riders and staff are ethnically Russian.

Oh really I didn't know about those comments! That's pretty nasty....... :(

But Kazakstan has the same concern as Ukraine does. It would surprise me if this became an issue. I think they are able to agree to disagree.

Hopefully, now EBH knows that Tinkoff-Saxo is not the team for him and will go somewhere else.

It could be his golden chance. Just see Devolder when riding with Boonen. Anyway, as long as he gets away from Sky and get his career restarted.

He showed so much promise in the first years…

If he does opposite what you said he will be very happy end of the season 2015:D

Tinkoff-Saxo roster for 2015:

Contador, Majka, Kreuziger, Kiserlovski, Basso, Rogers, Roche (if Oleg can buy out the contracts of some of the already signed riders), Sagan and EBH?

Kreuziger? He's banned. Roche is 95% gone. Basso is fairly past it too. Doubt he'd make Tour team. Kiserlovski too, he's not greatly suited to Tour( if he is even linked with Tinkoff)

And 100% that wouldn't be Tour squad as Contador doesnt't need that many moutain helpers, flat roulers for Sagan would be present ( assuming you posted Tour team since 9 riders, and 9 riders is not their full rooster :p )

Since people were talking about Sagan's marketability and economic worth, an interesting article on the behind the scenes stuff: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/sagans-tinkoff-saxo-transfer-was-over-a-year-in-the-making

'There has been plenty of conjecture as to the wage offered to Sagan, and the estimated figure has seemed to grow over time, with figures of up to €4 million per year bandied about in some quarters.

“Obviously the figure is secret, but we’re both happy with the contract,” Feltrin said. “I always say that contracts are only good if both parties are equally happy or equally unhappy. And we’re both happy.”

Although Tinkov’s backing means that Tinkoff-Saxo’s economic might is significant, Feltrin was careful to point out that the team’s budget is not limitless. It seems that agreements with sponsors and suppliers have helped to structure the Sagan deal, given a commercial appeal that extends beyond his achievements on the road.'

“We’ve got a commercial mentality. We create a budget and then we respect it – we can’t spend infinitely,” Feltrin said. “Market value is a variable thing. If Peter wins, it’s money well-spent. If he doesn’t, maybe it’s not, but then again, Peter Sagan has a value that goes beyond his sporting value. It’s like what we’re seeing with Rafal Majka in Poland. He’s like super man there, and that has a huge commercial value for the team and sponsors.”

The sight of Contador, Majka and Sagan riding together is going to be f*ucking awesome and that entire team, hopefully with EBH, is brilliant.

Would like to see that tour team for sure. Basso back in 06 form to lead the team to victory :p

Hell yeah, Riis will bring back RoboBasso, who will drop the big 4 gc riders of today like mere sprinters and win the Tour at least 10min ahead of everone else:cool:

Why? Sagan is probably still inferior to Cancellara, Vanmarcke and Quick-Step on the cobbles. Sagan should focus on winning Amstel and Liege, way better chances there.

Kreuiger is as good as banned as UCI not accepting his explanation nor that do his experts, saying the anomalies are real and Tinkov has made things worse by threatening them IMO
Roche on his way out ....

Need to re sign Rodgers and maybe two more mountain super doms ...

How's about Kiserlovski or Trofimov or Sanchez or Frank or Caruso
