Serge Pauwels has become Team MTN-Qhubeka’s latest signing with the Belgian joining from Omega Pharma-QuickStep on a two-year deal.

Good signing for MTN I can see him and Cummings being good men for them and with EBH also, their grand tour team is taking shape.

Wow, congratulations for making a total fool of yourself within just a couple of postings in this thread.

I agree, putting Austria & Germany in the same basket from a sponsor point of view is a real sin. Gimme a Break!

No wonder Europe cant function as one unit as every tiny area is demanding some sort of recognition. Dont you dare to mix Austrians with Germans. On the other hand, Scotland dont even have the balls to free themselves from the English. I guess as long they can participate in FIFA World Cup and EURO soccer championship as independent they are happy. What a joke

The only thing here that is a joke is your post.

So NetApp is turning into a development team? Perhaps thats what Bora is after. Good luck getting wild cards with this team.

Their only chance/luck is that there isnt very many high quality pro-conti teams and I cant imagine ASO will invite back Bretagne – Séché.

2015 should be 5 wildcards as Cannondale/Garmin are merging:

Cofidis
IAM
MTN
Bora
Bretagne – Séché or Alonso if around

As I said, they may be lucky and may get away with the dev team.

aso will definitely invite back bretagne

The Russian WorldTour Team Katusha announces the signing of an agreement with the Portuguese rider Tiago Machado, 28. Rider and team reached an agreement for the seasons 2015 and 2016.

So perhaps the rumored NetApp rider joining Katusha wasnt Konig ...

Konig to Katusha would still make a lot of sense. There's not much depth in that team considering the Russians contribute very little. Purito turns 36 next year too. Can't rely on him and Kristoff for all their results (Ok Spilak and Moreno also contribute but it's not much for one of the biggest budgets in the peloton).

Not much support for him though and he's stated a preference for an english speaking team. With Sky he would simply get much better support as Sky has a much deeper of climbing domestiques.

Yeah with Sky he would have a great number of domestiques to keep him company...

Ya Machado to Katusha has just been confirmed

Seems like a nice choice for him

He'll be working for J-Rod then, not sure if I'd want to work with Ekimov.

I think konig will end up at Greenedge - Sky wouldn't know a bargain if it slapped them in the face.

Machado rarely works for anyone, he will have his chances at Katusha, Azevedo being the team director probably made a difference for his decision.

I wouldn't described him as underrated, but rather over hyped.

He was overhyped at first, and then underrated after he failed to live up tot he excessive hype.

Business as usual. It's the circle of hype.

It is an irony, as Денис Меньшов "Denis Men'shov" has been transliterated as "Menchov" in Latin script throughout his career, so Machado (ch in Portuguese = [ʃ]) being transliterated as Мачаду (ч = [tʃ]) is a neat piece of symmetry.

Thank you for your usual quality :)
