I think Coppel is heading out too. So there could be 3 GC men out for Cofidis: Taaramäe, Navarro and Coppel.

They've already signed Michael Van Staeyen, Kenneth Vanbilsen from Topsport-Vlaanderen and Jonas Ahlstrand from Giant. Also I think Bouhanni will go there with Sebastien Chavanel. So it looks like they're building decent sprinters/spring classics team.

He's already a good one at Tinkof-Saxo, so what has Brailsford promised him to achieve with them? Leadership for La Vuelta? I mean- The Alien is set to wipe out all the early season races along with Porte, so that leaves him only with the 2nd half of the year to cease..... which is really what he gets at Tinkof too......

Roche's talents will be better suited for a team like Europcar, or Katusha -even TREK is fine....... but SKY?? I mean - really??

If this year is anything to go by, 1/4 will crash, 1/4 will be burned out from training and another 1/4 will have Porte like shape.
Still a decent 1/4 though if they keep Froome there.
So yeah not that impressive.
Anyway, does anyone knows how is Henao's recovery?

At least DB had the sense after the Tour to admit Sky may have to change a few things when thinking about next year.

Both Yates should be looking to be a cut above those 3 who have never threatened a big or frequent win. And by the sounds of his recent interviews, I'm not sure Kennaugh would think Sky have been entirely benign for him.

I hope, not entirely without expectation, that they both ride well enough to the end of this contract that they have sufficient options to resist that route. Really can't see what would be in it for them - if Adam keeps riding at this level they'll be plenty of other teams ready to throw money at him without him requiring to join the Joe Dombro training group.

Yes I agree they should be aiming to become much better than those mentioned including Dombro. I hope they carry on impressing and as you say they may have a long list of teams knocking at the door. I'd hate them to go to Sky, or any team for that matter just to be work horses.

I always thought there was a risk that Sky's need to have all the most talented British riders as part of their raison d'être would deter other teams from taking on young talented British riders, knowing that Sky would probably throw the chequebook at them once they started showing top level talent, but I didn't expect Brailsford to have such a lack of tact as to straight up state that.

Here the arrogance is not so much in the outright statement, but the crass disrespect of Orica that is the implication that they're just there to bring riders up until they're good enough to ride for Sky.

Yeah, I think Brailsford really regards Sky as the British national team so in his mind its only logical that all British riders will come and flock to him once they are called. Sadly for him, this is not track cycling where national teams are a lot more important.
