I bet Aru is begging Vino to hire Contador :D

It's more likely that Contador turns gay and begin a 3-party relationship with Froome and Armstrong than the spaniard going back to Astana.
Great, I just found out that someone already wrote a Contador X Armstrong fanfiction (my highschool girlfriend would have loved it, she was really into that kind of stuff).

Biggest question mark on Alberto Contador. If he'll ride in 2017, where will it be? Maybe Sky, so that he can target the Giro/Vuelta double with their marginal gains, weighting circa 55 kgs? Let's wait and see.
Sky won't touch him due to his taste in meat.
Right the zero tolerance policy yeah? So it's okay to have staff with dodgy pasts but not riders

I reckon Sky will swoop and get Sagan. Can get classic victories and stage wins at the TDF.

I think there's virtually no chance of that. People think Sky have an unlimited budget but they've offloaded some pretty huge salaries recently (EBH, Wiggins and Porte) and you'd imagine their main priority is resigning Geraint Thomas for a couple more years. Stannard and Rowe have shown enough to justify leadership in the cobbled classics, especially as they're British riders in a British team.

Quite a lot of good Sky riders are available on the market: Thomas, Sergio Henao, Poels, Konig and Viviani

Others out of contract: Roche, Swift, Nordhaug, Puccio, Lopez, Knees, Zandio, Fenn

It is rumoured they've already signed Owain Doull to a neo-pro contract, starting in 2017, but there's been no confirmation.

Thomas is a pretty ambitious guy so if he does well in a GT this season then I say there is a good chance he leaves, I do agree with you that Sagan isn't going to end up at Sky

See you don't rate Roche or Swift as good but Konig is ???
Imagine you won't mind when they walk then

EBH is another rider with a contract that expires after this season. Being one of the leaders of a smaller team suits him well - makes sense to stay with Dimension Data, especially if they can bring in 1-2 riders to support him in the classics.

Beppe Conti saying Sep is close to Lampre. I can't believe this for a second, Lampre is probably the worst WT team for cobbles.

Wonderful. He's leaving a team where he gets little support to a team known to give no support at all. Hope this is tosh.

True that.
About Astana, he said there's a good chance Rosa will sign with Sky. I'm pretty sure there was mutual interest a couple of years ago when Rosa's contract with Androni was ending.

Like Aru rides for Sky since last season? There ain't no truth in Beppe's claims about Rosa either.

As far as I know their buget got cut because of the econonomic crisis in Kazakhstan and the low oil price (they cut $140 million from the budget for hosting the 2017 EXPO, so it's pretty serious).
A few weeks ago Beppe Conti talked about negotiations between Vino and the Goverment, apparently he'd like to keep Nibali.
If Nibali is leaving I can't see Rosa leaving, he's one of Aru's closest friends.

If Nibali leaves, Rosa is 90% staying. Astana has plans on making him a GT captain.

Indeed if Nibali leaves Astana (not certain yet) they'll not sign a top class replacement but instead give more opportunities to and develop the young riders they already have. It's because of the financial reasons stated above.

sorry, but that's a stupid post.
What's stupid is renewing the contract of an expensive rider despite having gone almost three years without a win and showing nothing decent this season.

I agree.

Lotto Jumbo however, they don't agree. You probably don't know how incredibly hyped the Dutch media get when he got 6th last year. He was "the best of the non-GT winners, OMGOMGOMGOMG". They made also made a special documentary about Mollema getting 6th in 2013.

However, Gesink is going to stagehunt this year in the Tour, so I hope that works out for him.

gesink is the worst type of pro athlete you can sign - once talented and there is a feeling he can get better because he is not old,but everybody knows its not going to happen because thats just who he is...you could probably sign 4 young guns worth his contract but at the same time if you dont sign him and he gets better in other team you will look like a fool, its a no win situation
