Gorka Izagirre to join his brother and cousin at Bahrain.

Who is his cousin?

Nibali.

Joking, Jon Ander Insausti, if he's indeed a cousin and not just bearer of same paternal/maternal surname

Its Ion Izaguirre

No?

Ion Ander Insausti is the cousin of Ion and Gorka Izagirre.

Why their parents have decided to give their sons the same first name is a rather good question, though.

Well, bannable if it were up to me, at least. It might be that the real rules are a bit more lenient ;)

Jon/Ion and Jon Ander/Ion Ander probably don't count as same first names

With both Gallopin and Roelandts gone, things are looking a little bleak for Lotto Soudal.

Roelandts wasn't worth the money. Overrated. Good dom, but as a leader he's just not good enough. Lotto Soudal is better off with Keukeleire.
I don't think Gallopin was that important for the team. And they should ditch people like Vanendert.

I'd rather invest in riders like Benoot and try to fix Wellens.

If they're named after their grandfather... (though I noticed it's spelled differently.)

they got Campenaerts and Keukeleire already...

Well then, there you go. Keukeleire for Roelandts is probably an improvement even if the latter has finished on the podium of a monument twice in the last fice years. But Campenaerts is probably not going to do much outside time trials.

Lotto didn't have anyone at all for ITT and was keen to get Campenaerts for this specific type or races... (dixit Marc Sergeant a while ago)

I'm guessing now (Vuelta selection) Lotto-Soudal may not be keeping Adam Hansen for next season? He did seem much less prominent this year that before. And they're quite right that no-one should assume getting a free ticket for a GT.

^^ I think that it was in this thread that I read Vervaeke was rumoured to go to Sunweb.

Speaking of Vervaeke, he is not racing again this year, is he? Last race was the NC, no Poland, no Eneco, no Vuelta (which supposedly was his goal for the rest of the season), I see no posts on his twitter or instagram about training (all about travelling, his girlfriend, eating, today he was playing tennis), so I assume he will only race next year, right?

He is only training once a week these days.

Taaramäe already rode for Cofidis for over 6 years, so being on a French team is clearly not a problem for him, even if Cofidis are probably the least frech of the french pct teams and I don't mean that as an insult or in a negativ way, they were always a bit more diverse, in the last few years they always had a few spanish riders. The negativ thing about Cofidis is probably the way that they spend a 11M € budget.
Back to Taaramäe, he probably likes being on a french team and Direct Energy probably gave him a chance to ride for himself.

Eiking won't be with FDJ next season according to the team's website. No idea where he'll be, but he's a talented young rider...I'm disappointed.

Taaramäe to Direct Energy, a bit of a surprise, but I like it.
They also signed Jérôme Cousin.

Does Cousin want to ride for every french squad, also must be the only rider on the team without french as his first language

??? Cousin is French as f***, and even after his transfer to DEN he has still ridden for only two French teams.
