Oh Nathan, would've loved to see him staying at DD

Latest rumours from CyclingFever:

Winner Anacona to UAE Emirates
Dayer Quintana to Astana.

What's happening in Movistar? Quintana's guard being dismantled, even his brother going away. I remember that Astana was one of the teams to whom Nairo was rumoured. Well, with this happening, I don't see a future for Nairo with Abarca in the long run.

I'm actually happy for both Anacona & Dayer being to seek their own path. Winner is a great roulleur already a GT stage winner, before he surrendered his own ambitions to help Nairo. Same goes for Dayer, which despite his brother's shadow, he's already won stages in pro-tour races.

Was never going to stay after DDs lame effort in the Giro stage in which Haas was favorite. DD never did enough work to bring back the break. And he was disappointed in missing the TDF

Thank you Matxin!

Aw, don't remember that stage. Do you suggest that the team wasted his potential? That's why he left?
No TDF was rather silly, I must reckon. Don't really like Katusha, but I still hope he could develop as a better rider there.

It was the stage where Haas was the bookies favorite - DD did no work to bring back the break, except for a token effort by Teiklehamanot with 30 kms to go - Anyway Haas needs to work on his race-craft to maximise his potential.

He seems to have high expectations, that's pretty nice. Plus, he will have a free role on one-day races and small stage ones I guess. If I remember Katusha team properly, they don't have a punchy rider like he is. So why not.

Now I wanna see more gossips about DD transfers. Any clue?

No surprise. He has a big engine. Has a track backgorund. Should fit in nicely with QS.

They have Lammertink, but Haas is better.

I am happy for them as well. But I will miss Anacona. He was a great help to Nairo.

Which stages is it exactly that Dayer has won in "pro tour races"?
I don't think he has won WT races. The only thing that I remember are wins at San Luis and the Tour of Austria. Don't remember other wins.

I know. His best WT result is a 17th place in stage 6 of Eneco Tour three years ago. Otherwise he hasn't been top 20 once.

I was just wondering how on earth the poster could be so far from the truth...

A "Stayfer"? No...
"Transfers and Stayfers 2017>2018" would avoid the confusion "Transfers and Stayers" might cause.
