Cannondale survive but apparently don't have much of a classics team left.

Vanmarcke says he is staying. But I guess Van Baarle and Langeveld could be off then.
Van Baarle signed somewhere else. Langeveld is staying though

Any other information as to where Van Baarle has signed, if true? A rumour on another site suggested Sky but I haven't read anything of the sort on any site. Perhaps it is all speculation.

Cyclingnews report said that he had a verbal agreement with Vaughters but after the Cannondale riders were allowed to search elsewhere for a 2018 ride, he was contacted by other teams. His agent said he was going to talk to Cannondale regarding the conditions of the verbal agreement that he had established but Van Baarle wanted on his mind to move teams, now.

Well, it will be interesting to see where he lands and I suspect we may hear that news in the next few days.

Katusha would make sense. There is a big hole in their cobbles team with Kristoff leaving. Pollitt has shown promise for the future of course but it would be nice to add someone more developed as leader.

Interesting to see Trek signing younger riders rather than their usual elder statesmen. Mullen should be a very useful addition. I don't know too much about Frame, except that he's a trackie who did well on the Conti circuit this year.

Yeah Trek are looking kind of weak unless they get Aru. Degenkolb is not currently looking like the rider he was - and he's not far from 29, so if he doesn't improve next season will he ever get back to form?

They are lacking top end leaders and there aren't all that many riders of that sort looking for a contract. Mollema, Degenkolb, Felline may not be truly top end, but they are still pretty good. I think that with Mullen and Frame they now have circa 24 riders confirmed, so there will likely be more announced.

you think they will let him develop ?

I don't know, I can't think of any superb talent they have ruined, but I can't think of somebody who really developped during their stay at Katusha.

According to Velonews Van Baarle is staying, and so is Rolland and the others already mentioned.

Nieuwsblad has a small article on his signing :
http://www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20170912_03067739

Azevedo says Katusha follows him since two years, sees a future GT rider in him and he has to strengthen the climbers squad around Zakarin...

I've read on a Polish forum that Felix Grossschartner is set to join a WT team in 2018 but it's not known which one, yet.
